The Eat Guide is run by Gallos Group Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED ADDRESS]. We are the data controller for the information described here. You can reach us at [EMAIL].
Your email address, when you enter a competition or sign up for the weekly email. Nothing else is required. We also record when you signed up, and which page you signed up from, so we can show that you asked to hear from us.
Like most websites we collect basic, anonymous information about visits — pages viewed, roughly where in the country the visit came from, what kind of device. This does not identify you.
To run the monthly competition, and to send you the weekly guide. We rely on your consent, which you gave by entering your address, and which you can withdraw at any time.
Our email provider, Resend, stores the list and sends the emails on our behalf. Our hosting provider, Vercel, runs the website. Neither uses your address for anything of their own. We do not sell your address, and we do not pass it to restaurants or advertisers.
If The Eat Guide is sold or transferred to another company, the email list transfers with it, and the new owner takes on the commitments on this page. We will tell you if that happens.
Until you unsubscribe, or after three years of you never opening anything we send, whichever comes first. Competition entries are kept for twelve months after the draw, so we can show it was run fairly.
You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you. Email [EMAIL] and we will deal with it within a month.
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
The guide and the competitions are for people aged 18 and over.
